BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC-TV MyFoxAL.com) -- 'Hands on Birmingham' and the Salvation Army are partnering in the 2008 back to school drive to provide school supplies for children in need. the goal of the two organizations is to provide school uniforms and grade-appropriate backpacks filled with school supplies for 600 children in need who will be going back to school in the Birmingham area in the next few weeks. Donations are urgently needed to assist in getting all of these children the necessary supplies for a successful school year.
